Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are a part of God’s plan. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

(ENGLISH) Next Sunday (April 4) is Easter . Holy Mass in the parish church at 8, 11 and 6 p.m.

April 1st is Holy Thursday - the Day of the Establishment of the Eucharist and the Priestly Order. In the morning there is no Mass or confession, and Holy Mass will be celebrated in the church of St. James at 6 p.m. After the Mass there will be adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

Good Friday is April 2nd. ...The Way of the Cross on (Cross Mountain) Križevac is at 11 am. The Rosary is at 5 p.m., and the rites of the Passion of the Lord and the kissing of the cross at 6 p.m. Good Friday is a day of strict fasting and abstinence.

April 3rd is Holy Saturday...The Rosary on Holy Saturday begins at 6 p.m., and the Easter Vigil is at 7 p.m.

The opportunity for holy confession for parishioners is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before the morning Holy Mass, and the priests will confess these three days in the afternoon from 4:30 pm onwards. On Holy Days, priests confess from 4 to 5:45 p.m. On major days, all priests participate in the evening prayer program, so when the Holy Mass or rites begin, there is no more confession, so the Parish Office of Medjugorje asks the faithful to confess, if possible, before the Easter Triduum.

Medjugorje anniversary 40th and 5th

 A throwback memory to the early years of Our Lady Gospa's apparitions to the visionaries in Medjugorje: 

our pilgrimage group on Apparition Hill where a wooden cross was erected for the 5 year anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Mary being with us in this special way, helping us to get closer to God and to feel His peace and love of heaven in our hearts, thanks to God, since 1981. 

This year, 2021, is the FORTY YEAR anniversary! The photograph is from October, 1987. You also see Cross Mountain (Krizevac, in Croatian).

During that month, Our Lady Queen of Peace gave this Medjugorje message:

(ENGLISH) October 25, 1987 "My dear children! Today I want to call all of you to decide for Paradise. The way is difficult for those who have not decided for God. Dear children, decide and believe that God is offering Himself to you in His fullness. You are invited and you need to answer the call of the Father, who is calling you through me. Pray, because in prayer each one of you will be able to achieve complete love. I am blessing you and I desire to help you so that each one of you might be under my motherly mantle. Thank you for having responded to my call."

“Draga djeco! Danas vas sve želim pozvati da se svaki od vas odluči za raj. Put je težak za one koji se nisu odlučili za Boga. Draga djeco, odlučite se i vjerujte da vam se Bog u svojoj punini nudi. Fourteen Stations of the Cross

 The Stations of the Cross (Križni put, in Croatian) 

are a 14-step Catholic devotion commemorating Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man, & focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. He agreed to give his life for every one of us, with total true love. :-) Thank you!! At each station, we recall and meditate on a specific event from Christ's last day with specific prayers. The stations are most commonly prayed during Lent on Wednesdays and Fridays, and especially on Good Friday, the day when the events actually occurred... 

then Jesus Christ rose from the dead, was resurrected on the 3rd day later, Easter Sunday.

(ENGLISH) "Dear children! I am calling you to that love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, love bears everything bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus who is love. Therefore, dear children, pray that God come to your aid, not however according to your desire, but according to His love. Surrender yourself to God so that He may hear you, console you and forgive everything inside you which is a hindrance on the way of love. In this way God can move your life, and you will grow in love. Dear children, glorify God with a hymn of love so that God's love may be able to grow in you day by day to its fullness. 

Thank you for having responded to my call."

(HRVATSKI) “Draga djeco! Danas vas pozivam na ljubav, koja je Bogu odana i ugodna. Dječice, ljubav sve prihvaća, sve što je tvrdo i gorko, radi Isusa koji je ljubav. Zato, draga djeco, molite Boga da vam dođe u pomoć, ali ne po vašim željama, nego po svojoj ljubavi. Bogu se predajte, da vas on može liječiti, tješiti i praštati vam sve ono što je u vama zapreka na putu ljubavi. Bog može oblikovati vašživot i vi ćete rasti u ljubavi. Slavite Boga, dječice, hvalospjevom ljubavi, da bi ljubav Božja mogla rasti iz dana u dan do svoje punine.

Thank God for Gospa's school of love that she's been teaching those of us who will open our hearts, so we can help those that do not yet know how to trust God!

4) golden fields with lovely poppies flowers along the path as we walk along the path on the way back for evening daily holy mass and prayer program either from Krizevac, Apparition Hill or to meet one of the visionaries. Excellent time to soak up the sun, pastoral serenity, natural beauty.

cleanse your heart 4 God

 Let's cleanse our hearts and make room to accept the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God & gave us his all, with love.

"... They are numerous who do not observe it. Monthly Confession will be a remedy for the Church in the West. One must convey this message to the West." "I will give you yet some concrete messages for our time. Be patient because the time has not yet come. Do what I have told you..."   

The cross up on Krizevac (Cross Mountain) built in faith by the Croatian families in Medjugorje so long ago ... and now a beacon of hope, a light, for pilgrims around the world. "... and the cross was in God's plan when you built it... "
Our Lady, Queen of Peace, who is the Blessed Virgin Mary said that about the huge cross way up on top of Cross Mountain ( Krizevac, in Croatian). The families of the Medjugorje parish built it decades ago in faith and devotion to Jesus Christ... and now it is a beacon of hope,a light, for pilgrims around the world.

  Stations of the Cross, also called Way of the Cross, a series of a 14-step Catholic devotion  portraying events in the Passion of Christ, from his condemnation by Pontius Pilate to his entombment:  Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man.   

Mary's WAY OF THE CROSS (Stations of the Cross) 

                       FIRST STATION
MARY, the Blessed Mother of God: It was early Friday morning when I saw my son. That was the first glimpse I had of him since they took him away. His bruised and bleeding skin sent a sword of pain deep into my heart and tears down my cheeks. Then Pilate, from his chair of judgment, asked the crowd why they wanted my son executed. All around me they shouted, "Crucify him!" I wanted to plead with them to stop, but I knew this had to be. So I stood by and cried silently.

Our PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, it is hard for me to imagine the anguish your mother felt at your condemnation. But what about today, when I hold a grudge ...? "Crucify him!" When I judge others...? "Crucify him!" Doesn't this bring tears of anguish to both you and your mother? Forgive me, Jesus.

PRAYERS: Our Father...Hail Mary...Glory Be...

Imagine the suffering the Mother of God, Blessed Virgin Mary endured as she followed her Son, Jesus Christ... It's always very powerful when we are climbing up, stopping at each station and praying together, meditating on what it must have been like for the Mother of God to follow her Son during His #Passion!  

We can follow her example in how we carry our crosses and treat our fellow human beings, our brothers and sisters.  Jesus accepted all this, and so did His mother, with love for all of us.
