Marys Way of the Cross FIRST station

"PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!... with the heart" "I am often at Krizevac, at the foot of the cross, to pray there. Now I pray to my Son to forgive the world its sins..."
~Gospa, the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Medjugorje, 1981.
Lent 2021
FIRST STATION - JESUS IS CONDEMNED TO DIE

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you, because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Check out a video link by Medjugorje Now (Elez) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4bSO92w5D0

Stations of the Cross, also called Way of the Cross, a series of a 14-step Catholic devotion  portraying events in the Passion of Christ, from his condemnation by Pontius Pilate to his entombment:  Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man.

Mary's WAY OF THE CROSS (Stations of the Cross)
                       FIRST STATION
MARY, the Blessed Mother of God: It was early Friday morning when I saw my son. That was the first glimpse I had of him since they took him away. His bruised and bleeding skin sent a sword of pain deep into my heart and tears down my cheeks. Then Pilate, from his chair of judgment, asked the crowd why they wanted my son executed. All around me they shouted, "Crucify him!" I wanted to plead with them to stop, but I knew this had to be. So I stood by and cried silently.

Our PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, it is hard for me to imagine the anguish your mother felt at your condemnation. But what about today, when I hold a grudge ...? "Crucify him!" When I judge others...? "Crucify him!" Doesn't this bring tears of anguish to both you and your mother? Forgive me, Jesus.

PRAYERS: Our Father...Hail Mary...Glory Be...

Thank you!  Mary's Way of the Cross - Mir-Peace spiritual pilgrimage group prays this together while climbing up Krizevac (Cross Mountain) each time we travel to Medjugorje. Imagine the suffering the Mother of God, Blessed Virgin Mary endured as she followed her Son, Jesus Christ... It's always very powerful when we are climbing up, stopping at each station and praying together, meditating on what it must have been like for the Mother of God to follow her Son during His #Passion!
We can follow her example in how we carry our crosses and treat our fellow human beings, our brothers and sisters.  Jesus accepted all this, and so did His mother, with love for all of us.
True love! Sharing God's love!

Lent: WAY OF THE CROSS, Medjugorje

MARY'S WAY OF THE CROSS   is what                     Mir-Peace pilgrimage group prays and meditates on as we climb Cross Mountain(Krizevac) together in Medjugorje, every time we travel there...

mir.peace@comcast.net

2nd station: JESUS TAKES HIS CROSS by choice.                      For eternal life. For all our souls.

This Lent we choose to take up our crosses as He did, with sacrifices and with love. The physical world is temporary -- we can be in heaven with God forever. Thank you, Jesus Christ and Gospa, Blessed Virgin Mary, for showing us how, and sharing that trust, light, loving kindness and mercy every day!

                                  SECOND STATION
“We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you, because by
your holy cross you have redeemed the world.”
                          JESUS TAKES HIS CROSS
               from Blessed Virgin Mary's perspective:
Regaining a little strength, I walked with the crowds to the entrance of the square.
A door flew open and my son stumbled out, the guards laughing behind him.
Two men dragged over a heavy wooden cross and dropped it on his shoulders.
Then they shoved him down the road.
My pain for him was unbearable.
I wanted to take the cross from him and carry it myself.
But I knew this had to be so I walked on silently.
response:
Lord Jesus, I beg you to forgive me
for the many times I have added more weight to your cross,
by closing my eyes to the pain and loneliness of my neighbor.
Forgive me for gossiping about others and for always trying to find excuses to avoid certain people who wish to talk with me.
Help me to be like Mary, always seeking to lighten the crosses of others.
Forgive me, Jesus.

Ash Wednesday reminds us of the eternal love and joy we can have through Jesus' sacrifice of dying on the Cross for all human beings, and through his resurrection on Easter.
-- During Lent, we meditate and reflect on what Jesus Christ and His Mother, Mary, endured for our souls. We may feel a little of what the Blessed Virgin Mary witnessed as her Son, Jesus Christ, was suffering for us on the way of Calvary, and as He was crucified & died on the cross. Imagine a mother's love... and the crosses and sacrifices in our own lives... Super role model.
--- MARY'S WAY OF THE CROSS is what Mir-Peace pilgrimage group prays and meditates on as we climb Cross Mountain(Krizevac) together in #Medjugorje, every time we travel to Bosnia Hercegovina, Europe from the United States of America. Thinking all the way back to that first Easter, centuries ago...
